CheerleadingMusicServices.com - When it comes to a cheer music company, what is most important to you?

Justin - Customer Service is most important to Custom Cheer Mix. Another thing is trust.

CheerleadingMusicServices.com - Trust is a good point! What does Custom Cheer Mix do to bring up the trust level to online shoppers?

Justin - Back in 2008, we became a Better Business Bureau Accredited Business. Almost 100% of our business comes from online. In this day and age of idenity theft, and wondering if you can really trust certain websites, we wanted to give our customers and potential customers a sense of security knowing that Custom Cheer Mix is not only legit, but accredited by the BBB as well.

CheerleadingMusicServices.com - So how long does it take to create a mix?

Justin- (Laughs) This question comes up in almost every phone conversation that I have had with cheerleading coaches. A mix can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days. A huge factor in the turnaround time is the song selections. If a Coach picks songs that are somewhat new or are in the hip hop, dance, pop genre, it can be very simple.

CheerleadingMusicServices.com - I noticed that you have a "Reserve a spot" option on the Custom Cheer Mix.com website, why is that?

Justin - We started the Reserve a spot back in 2008 to help us plan out our 2009 Season. We currently have around 200 Squads that come to Custom Cheer Mix every year. When you deal with that amount of volume, you need a system to be able to get everyone in. That option allows us to do just that. Don't get me wrong, it's not fool proof! But in the long run, it has become a very useful tool for us to schedule out our Season.

CheerleadingMusicServices.com - How are revisions handled?

Justin - We began a new system as of January 1, 2010 for revisions. Nothing has changed drastically. Let's just say that 2009 was a learning year for us! We had a few coaches who pretty much turned their cheer mix into a science project. As crazy as that sounds, it's true. We had a few occurances where the Coach didn't like the songs she picked, so she wanted all new ones. Once that was done, she still didn't like it so she requested all new ones again. In the meantime, we had over 35 teams who were waiting for their music, or their music completion date was coming up. Not only did this cause stress on our customers, but it also added stress at studio level. We ask that all of the Coaches are fully prepared and know what they want. We have hundreds of teams relying on us every year. When you put a kink into the production, it can easily cause a train wreck. This year, as I said, a few things have changed. The customers are allowed to change out one song, and they can move around or change sound effects as their free revision. Further revisions are now pre-paid.

CheerleadingMusicServices.com - Well that still seems pretty fair. Justin, how powerful would you say Custom Cheer Mix is?

Justin - Well, that's a hard question! Right now, I would say that Custom Cheer Mix is pretty powerful. We work with an enormous amount of teams from all around the world, and we are always looking at making the service better. We do have a few ideas of expanding, it's just trying to find the time to make that happen. We love what we do, that's the important part.

CheerleadingMusicServices.com - What do you do when you're out of the Studio?

Justin - In 2009, that didn't happen much! (laughs). That's one of the reasons why this year we are following our business hours. My Family means the world to me. I have a beautiful Wife and 2 great kids. I really need to find more time to spend with them. With the new business hours in effect, I feel this will help me acheive that goal.
